Let’s Start from the Beginning…

A few years ago, my life was controlled by severe digestive pain, chronic fatigue, and a laundry list of unexplained symptoms. After months of doctor visits, I was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. My doctor handed me a restrictive list of forbidden foods and told me to start an elimination diet. I left the clinic feeling completely lost, overwhelmed, and terrified of my own kitchen. Every meal felt like a risk.

A Budding Interest in Cooking…

When I realized that my healing depended entirely on what was on my plate, I decided to take control. I started breaking down complicated, strict dietary protocols into small, manageable steps. I swapped fear for curiosity, learning how to replace inflammatory ingredients with gut-soothing alternatives. I realized that safe cooking didn’t require complex techniques—it just required clear instructions and fresh, healing ingredients.

I traded hours of anxiety for joyful, structured cooking. Food By Steps was born out of my desire to document this journey and help others bypass the overwhelming phase of dietary restrictions. Today, I’m thriving, and my mission is to make your healing protocol as easy as following steps 1, 2, and 3.
