Ingredients
- 8 oz (227g) dairy-free cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar, sifted (add more to taste)
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup, agave, or honey (optional, for added depth)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon or orange zest (optional, for brightness)
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for extra thickness)
Instructions
- Take your dairy-free cream cheese out of the refrigerator 30-60 minutes before you begin to allow it to soften beautifully.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened dairy-free cream cheese, sifted powdered sugar, liquid sweetener (if using), and vanilla extract. If including citrus zest or a cornstarch slurry, add them now.
- Using an electric hand mixer (or stand mixer with a whisk attachment), beat the mixture on low speed to combine, then gradually increase to medium-high.
- Whip for 3-5 minutes until the dip is incredibly light, airy, and fluffy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if desired, adding more powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time.
