Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- Pinch of black pepper (or to taste)
- 1–2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional, to taste)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
- 1. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream (or Greek yogurt) and mayonnaise.
- 2. Add lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. If using, add hot sauce and chopped cilantro.
- 3. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
- 4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, adding more salt, lime, or hot sauce to your preference.
- 5. For best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld.
