Ingredients
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion (scallions)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- 1. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream (or Greek yogurt) and fresh lime juice until smooth and well combined.
- 2. Incorporate Dry Spices: Add the ground cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder to the wet mixture. Whisk thoroughly until all the spices are fully incorporated and the dressing has a consistent color.
- 3. Add Fresh Herbs & Season: Gently fold in the finely chopped fresh cilantro and green onion. Stir until just combined.
- 4. Taste & Adjust: Taste the dressing and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your preference. Add more lime juice or chili powder if desired.
- 5. Chill: For best results, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and deepen.
