Description

Craft these delightful watermelon gummies at home! Bursting with fresh fruit flavor and perfectly chewy, they’re a fun and easy treat for all ages.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh watermelon juice (strained)
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder (approx. 4 packets)
  • 24 tablespoons granulated sugar, maple syrup, or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid (optional, for tang)
  • Optional: A few drops of natural red food coloring

Instructions

  • Extract watermelon juice: Blend watermelon chunks and strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
  • Bloom gelatin: Sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup cold watermelon juice in a saucepan; let sit 5-10 minutes.
  • Heat mixture: Add remaining juice, sweetener, and citric acid to the saucepan. Heat on low, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Do not boil.
  • Add color (optional): Stir in natural food coloring if desired.
  • Pour & chill: Pour mixture into silicone molds or a lightly greased pan. Chill 2-4 hours until firm.
  • Demold & serve: Pop gummies from molds or cut into shapes from the pan. Enjoy!
